Premium Uncleaned Coins from the Balkans

These coins are NOT Junk, trust me.

FYI - I was too lazy to count out these special coins and Sheri did it for me in the back yard. She can be counted to not 'cherry-pick' any of them and she counted them into bags of 100 each, and that is important for bulk buyers.

In the past, we have referred to these as ‘beginner coins’ or ‘excellent for honing your cleaning skills' or ‘practice coins.’ These are not.

As seen in the photo, each of these LRBC issues are simply covered with soft dirt that will respond best with DW soaks and mechanical cleaning with dental picks, common scalpels, and tooth brushing, etc.

These ‘Balkan Coins’ are just the same as our True Premium issues, but just a bit smaller. Æ 3, Æ 3/4s and Æ4s that didn't quite meet the size.

Our opinion is that, properly cleaned and restored, nearly all these coins will clean up to VF or better condition, with a green patina and easily attributed via RIC.

Remember, you're buying at a 'per coin' price.

Happy Hunting? For sure! Don't forget to add flips and pages to your order...you'll need them, trust me.

I got in on the second and third batches of these. Both contained some very nice coins, but there seemed to be some variation between the two. My first lot contained larger coins, including an As of Hadrian, while the second contained more typical AE3 sized pieces. Either way, these are the best buy for uncleaned coins right now. I will certainly order more (or try, at least) when they become available...

Very nice coins for the amateur who's moved beyond the slugs and 'floorsweepings' and now wants to try their hand at cleaning something beautiful. I ordered 6 coins, and received a nice mix of nickle and dime-sized coins, plus one nice, quarter-sized gem. Most cleaned up quite well in a simple soak of distilled water. They were all Constantine and later (300's, you know) and most show a beautiful green patina. One is tougher than the rest to clean, so into the Gringgott's Mix it'll go. I'm very happy with the quality of these coins (most nicely centered and readable) and as one turned out to be the precious Sol Invictus ("Soli Invicto Comiti") I always hoped to find! Once again...very nice coins from a trusted seller ;_)..

I have ordered uncleaned coins from NRC since The beginning. Always good service, fast shipping and very good coins! This lot of coins is no exception! I can already see that under the dust there are some beauties hidden.. Count me in for another order pretty soon, Kevin ;-)..

Most still need to be cleaned. Found 1 rare campgate. Found 2 very nice gloria romanorum dragging captive, they didn't need much cleaning. So far no rusted or rotten coins. Most have nice green/dark green patina! I've purchased hundreds of roman coins from ebay sellers and these roman coins, average better quality!..
